UnCommon is an identity for an innovative urban garden centre founded on the belief that everyone should have access to community and something nature-based in their life, no matter how small their living space may be.
The idea was to develop a contemporary identity with a community feeling, built on a brand that communicates a sense of connection and engages people who may be bored by traditional garden centres.
The final concept was inspired by the idea of common land and how nature will thrive even in the toughest conditions. The centre is a collaborative enterprise offering member-led workshops, community street gardening days, as well as a mobile app. It’s a plant place for the avant-gardener.
